Tue Aug 31, 2010: – Khao-soi and Plernwan

We headed back to BKK on Tue. Before leaving Villa Maroc, we enjoy taking photos around the resort. I really love the decoration here.

On the way back to BKK., we stopped by for lunch in Hua-hin. I found this small restaurant from a guide book, famous for its Northern style dishes; Khao-soi and ขนมจีนน้ำเงี้ยว. Very tasty! Will definitely come back.

Then we stopped again at “Plernwan”. I’d never been here before. It’s the new must-go spot in Hua-hin. It’s a vintage village recaptured the old classic charm of Hua-hin in the past.

Then we headed straight back to BKK, home sweet home. Yay! Finished. — The end —

Mon Aug 30, 2010: Episode II – Swim, run, read, then eat!

We started our day with great meal. Breakfast buffet at Villa Maroc is superb. Various kinds of food including breads, toast, salad, Thai dishes, Japanese dishes, and Moroccan-style food; like yogurt and dried fruits.

For the rest of the day, we had a good time relaxing.

Just came back from a vacation in Pranburi, Prachuabkirikan. Thanks to a 2-night Villa Maroc gift voucher from Mr. T as a wedding gift, we had a very good time there relaxing and enjoying Sea-Sand-Sun (and also some rain). Here are photos we took and also diary of what we’d done during the vacation.

Sun Aug 29, 2010: Episode I – Driving n driving ……..

We left BKK at 8.00am, took an express way and drove toward Dao-ka-nong. It took about 3 hrs to get to Hua-hin, and we also stopped by at a Premium Outlet on the way to Hua-hin, looked around for a pair of nice running shoes (definitely Ae’s idea).

Then we headed to Hau-hin, had lunch at an Italian restaurant named La Villa.

After a nice meal, we headed straight to Pranburi. Got lost a little bit but we finally found our way to Villa Maroc Resort.

Our welcome drink, iced lemon mint tea.

We stayed in Pool Villa named “Qurfa”, which means Cinnamon in Arab. All room and the resort area decoration is distinctly inspired by the architecture of Morocco. The resort is fully equipped with modern facilities; Gym, swimming pool, library, Spa, LCD TV with DVD player, and even iPod Touch and iPod Touch docking station!

Had spent a weekend in Kanchanaburi province (in west Thailand) during 7-8 Feb 2009. Took a lot of nice photos. I’m so crazy about photography lately.

There are 6 people in this trip; dad, mom, me and Wan, ploy and her parents. We left BKK around 9 am on Saturday, a bit late as everybody went to bed late and got up late.

Arrived Kanchanaburi 1pm and had lunch at a local restaurant called “Prik-kang” (พริกแกง). Many yummy dishes. First is a spicy fisk cake or “Tod-mun” (ทอดมัน)

And  this one, Wild curry or “Kang-pa” (แกงป่า). What a straightforward translation into English 😀 “Kang” is Curry and “Pa” means Wild or Forest.

Got to the house around 4pm. Took a rest, un-pack things, and took nice photos around the house area.

Clear blue sky, and greenery.

On Sunday, we got up early in order to travel to Hua-mae-kamin waterfall. It took a few hours to get there and some part of the route is muddy. However, beautiful waterfall indeed!

After settling down and taking a rest for a while, Ae’s dad drove us to his friend’s place where we had a dinner party. The place is located on Samearg-Mae rim route up in the valley. It was pretty cold up there but i love it!
